Photoary 2014

What is this? You'll find your answer here.

Day 28:
Where there is love there is life.
~Mahatma Gandhi

Day 27:
The reason I've been dancing around my room for the past few minutes.

For those of you unfamiliar with All-University Sing, it's this tradition where organizations put on a Broadway style show around a theme. I was even in a toned-down version when I went to freshman Line Camp this summer (we won)!

Day 26:
Words underwater.

Day 25:
I admire people who know how to create beautiful scarves such as these.

Day 24:
*Insert cheesy pick up line here*

Somebody take that flower away from me.

Day 23:
I have lived here since August...but she still frightens me. One day she may be waiting for me as I leave the dorm in the morning.

Day 22:
Best. Ragnarök. Ever. Just look at this pile of deliciousness.

Day 21:
The Baylor Bear legacy. Stress Bear perches upon the shoulders of our founder.

Day 20:
Have another sundeck picture.

Day 19:
Hello, delicious.

Day 18:
I love scarves. That is all.

Day 17:
The flowers are gossiping again...

Day 16:
Here at Baylor University, The Squirrelpocalypse is a legitimate concern.

Day 15:
The lovely "M" that marks my door, made by the fantastic Becky Mozilo, my CL.

Day 14:
This is a teddy that one of my kiddos gave me for Valentine's ( I mentioned it in the last picture caption). Hope you all had a happy Valentine's Day!

Day 13:
A lovely chocolate rose for Valentine's day. Part of the care package from my wonderful family. One of my sweet elementary schoolers got me some Valentine's goodies too! Consider my heart warmed.

Day 12:
I've always thought that the metal stairs against the brick looked oddly picturesque. Maybe it's just me.

Day 11:
One of my favorite quotes that I painted on a rock this summer. It now has a place on my desk.

Day 10:
'I'm living in an age
That calls darkness light'
"My Body is a Cage", Arcade Fire (Although I prefer Peter Gabriel's cover)

Day 9:
The paper crane lifted its neck gently to the florescent lights above. It took a fluttering breath, as paper does in a slight breeze, opened its beak, and sang sweetly into the stuffy dorm room air. The paper crane's melody was heard by nobody; its serenade fell on deaf ears.

Day 8:
Thanks for the Rolos, Mom. I can now create modern art when I'm supposed to be doing homework! Yay!

Day 7:
Good times roll in el dormitorio de Maggie...especially when leadership things are cancelled!

Day 6:
My weapon of choice against my oncoming cold. DIE, COMMON COLD, DIE.

Day 5:
Coffee shop with a lovely friend today! Audrea is probably the most joyful person I've ever met. But after I informed her that I was taking a black and white portrait, she tried to make a serious face.

Day 4:
You know it's sad when your coffee tumbler is more of a morning person than you are. Not putting up with your nonsense today, Tumbly. No sir.

Day 3:
My newspaper carpet in my dorm room is my daily reminder that I'm a journalism major.

Day 2:
I don't care that it's February. My Christmas lights are staying right where they are, thankyouverymuch.

Day 1:
Happy 169th Birthday, Baylor University!
